Tasks » Task 6
Result Dissemination

With this task, it is expected to efficiently program and organize the result dissemination of the project. The studies we plan to accomplish have high practical relevance and this task is thought to be fundamental to a correct and wide-spread transmission of the results to the public. Throughout the project, small seminars will be prepared for both academic and practitioners and by the end of the project a larger public conference will be organized. From the start of the project, a partnership with the Ministry of Finance will be attempted to a wider dissemination and application of the results.

The expected results are related to different but interconnected subjects. The transmission of the results will have to have this in consideration, so the work will be organized to include seminars to different academic areas and to targeted professional activity sectors. The main purpose of the this task is to draw the attention of several professional groups to the importance of a sociological and behavioural analysis of fiscal policy as Portugal is one of the last countries in Europe to get in contact with this approach. On one hand, this task will serve the purposes of sharing the scientific outputs of the project with the community, and on the other hand, it is important to raise the awareness of the relevance of this research approach. The communication of the results of this project is one of the most important aspects of the work because this interdisciplinary perspective is not well-known among academics and practitioners and because it has a high political potential. The four major guidelines to disseminate the results are: 1) submission of papers to high quality journals; 2) a webpage with up-to-date information; 3) online free availability of all instruments and measures used in the project and 4) the organization of several small workshops during the project and a large conference at the end.
