The aim and scope:

Cities meet several challenges (development, inequities and governance) and a diversity of dilemmas: globalization and the individuals; narratives of citizens, of science, of public policies and of the global rankings…; identity and feedforwarding; big data and small data…; technological megamachines and degrowth possibilities.

From a Citizen Science paradigm, children are both city experts and symptoms of how urban planning is coping with its challenges and dilemmas. Supported by a FCT funded project (CRiCity) and in participatory/collaborative methodologies, this session places children in the core of social theory and public policies discussions. How children voices may/should be attending in urban planning? The panel is open to contributions:

- Collaborative Methodologies with Children in Cities
- Experiences and Evaluation in Child-Friendly Cities
- Right to the City, Public Spaces, Children and Urban Planning
