The call for sessions is now open. ISA RC10 has traditionally welcomed input also from disciplines other than sociology to exchange with multidisciplinary perspectives on its topics and this will again be the case for the forthcoming conference hosted by the Universidade de Lisboa, Lisbon School of Economics & Management (ISEG).
As a session organizer you are expected to encourage paper submissions to your session, review paper proposals with regards to their suitability in terms of focus and quality, either chair your session during the conference or chose a chair for your session, and liaise with the presenters and the conference organizers. For your session to be considered, please submit an abstract (max. 300 words) together with a proposed title for the session by 30th September 2016 to the Conference email at: isa@socius.iseg.ulisboa.pt

The working languages of the conference will be English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, but please be aware that no translation will be provided by the conference. If the conference committee accepts your session proposal, your session will be advertised in the conference website, however, your session will only be kept on the final conference program if at least 4 oral presenters will have registered by the deadline for presenters to register for the conference (same rule as ISA conferences). The Call for Papers will be issued in October after the selection of the sessions.

- Europe and Democratic Participation
- Democratic Participation in Latin American, India and other Regions of the World
- Public Sociology and other approaches
- Alternative approaches to Democracy and Participation
- Social Movements
- Other related topics such as: Migration; Labor market polarization; Participation in hospitals, nursing homes, and other such places; Societal and economic regulation; Transnational industrial relations; etc.
